Varsity Breakout

While some students write sups and others await final marks, the question is, when do we get to party?

Is there anything better than the feeling you get when you are boarding the plane or bus you booked months in advance, unable to contain the excitement of finally being on your way home? Or if Cape Town is your home, what beats the simple pleasure of knowing that you won’t have to drive up to UCT for a good 3 months? There is only one feeling that surpasses all of these…and that is the all-important PASS.

As we enter the last month of the year, UCT students await the release of their final results, which will be available from 7 December 2012.

With some students holding their breath over the possibility of supplementary examinations and others contemplating the ‘serious talks’ that parents are preparing to give in response to disappointing grades – the question almost all students are asking is: When can we party?

We all know that before any extreme end-of-year festivities or extravagant holiday plans commence, one last feat has to be achieved as we bring 2012 to a close. Whether it is promises for a new car, cellphone or laptop or just the satisfaction of your hard work having paid off –is the highly anticipated D-day.

Will it be a ‘P’ or an ‘F’? The wait continues…
